Over all, despite the fact that I was not able to bring my assistant I am happy with the outcome of my photos for I was able to manage the unpredictable lighting in the event.

Our "Beloved Gift from God" has turned 1!

Before we found out that my wife is pregnant, I already thanked God for giving us a baby. Before we had an ultra sound for a gender check, I already thanked God for giving us a baby girl. And this little angel is now a year old, the most precious gift we ever received from above.

Initially, we thought of spending Amia's birthday in a hotel and dine with our family but since my wife and I have both busy schedule, we don't get to spend much time in travelling so we grabbed this opportunity for an out of town trip. We only have a day so we headed to Tagaytay for its accessibility and great weather.

The travel went pretty neat and it was a blessing in disguise that we landed in Taal Vista Hotel

These are the great guys who took time to sing some nursery rhymes by our table while we are eating, they did a good version of Old Mcdonald too!

Trust me they are good singers

And there was a cake...

Amia is really happy to see a cake with a candle on it, she knew its happy birthday song time!

That's how Amia blows her candle

Squeeshy cheeks

Amia met a friend, an 8 month old Korean who we had a hard time conversing with her parents

And the best part of all... The Operations Manager and F&B Manager of Cafe-on-the Ridge in Taal Vista, they are the most courteous host we ever met! The service and attention they gave to us is way above in all fine dining restaurants and hotels we've been to.

We did some walking before the rain poured

I can see in Amia's eyes that she knew it was her birthday and she was very, very happy like Mum and Dada...

Boracay 2010

We went to Boracay in March 2010 to witness the wedding of a good friend of ours. It was Amia's first time to ride the plane and we were glad she didn't squall during the flight.

We stayed in a boutique hotel beside Discovery Shores, it was a decent place with friendly and ever reliable staff.

We arrived at the hotel in time for lunch, after restoring our energy we immediately baked ourselves under the sun

We cannot wait for the 4pm-7pm happy hour, so we ended up buying our beers at Aling Gloria's Store Haha!

My daughter enjoyed the warm water in the pool

Our first day ended early for we have a wedding to attend to the following day. It was a heart-felt ceremony and the exchange of vows brought tears to many.

I promised the couple for a post-nup photo shoot. We wanted to do it before the wedding but time is t0o restricting so we opted to do it the day after instead.
